Lasting for 7 months, the Global Village is promoted as the venue that brings the world to Dubai. It is a venue with pavilions from different countries, each bringing their art, craft, culture, entertainment, and food. So far, there have been 27 versions of Global Village, each exceeding the previous version regarding crowds, entertainment programs, and participating countries. The Global Village lives its name as it brings global art, fashion, culture, games, food, and entertainment in one venue. Broadly speaking, The Global Village attractions are divided into 4 categories, a) Carnivals, b) Dining, c) Events and shows, and d) Pavillions. Carnivals include games and rides. Dining options in Global Village are so different and unique that one visit is not enough to savor everything available. Global Village organized more than 36,000 events and shows for the entertainment of visitors in 2022, which increases yearly. Finally, pavilions are home to country or countries to showcase their arts, culture, food, and fashion diversity. Nowhere in the world will you see a microcosm of the world like here.
Location and Opening Hours
Over the past 27 years, the Global Village has undergone several venue changes, finally finding its permanent home at Exit 37 on E11. This strategic location, easily accessible from all Emirates, ensures a hassle-free journey for visitors without navigating through the bustling traffic of Dubai. The Global Village has now become an independent destination, akin to Disney World, offering a convenient and comfortable experience for all.
The Global Village’s weekday operating hours are 4 PM to 12 AM, Sunday to Saturday. Tuesdays (except those falling on public holidays) are reserved for women, couples, and families.
Ticket Prices and Booking
Global Village entry ticket is AED 25 when you buy at its gates. Children below 3 years, people of determination, and those above 65 enter free.
When you buy the same ticket online, you will pay only AED 20 per person, a savings of AED 5.
You can also book or purchase tickets from many DMCs (Destination Management Companies); these companies buy their tickets in bulk and then sell them to their expat tourists.
VAT Charges:
All ticket prices include the 5% VAT mandated by UAE laws. Tourists may claim VAT at one of the many VAT claim stations all over the 7 Emirates. There is a VAT claim station inside the Global Village itself.
